Someone asked, "what are the color specifications on helmets?"
As long as they are not red or safety orange, you can wear it. Choose a lighter color to help with heat.

Another helmet question.
I'm rolling with the QRF (helmets req for vehicles) Can they be removed once we egress the Humvee and then put back on if we are to ingress again?
I'm slightly concerned about heat because I never wear a helmet.

Yes, helmets are only required while you are inside the vehicle. be it moving or sitting still.

I have a ProTec Helmet that I have painted Khakki with some sand textured paint and an NVG mount. US Delta Force use these exact helmets in the Blackhawk Down incident, and to my knowledge many speccial forces branches still use other ProTec model helmets. Would this helmet be acceptable for Humvee riding?
